SAFFI Fire (by Devanté): SAFFI Fire is a method used for getting an infinite boost during a race. This is a method that is commonly used for Best Lap records.

To achieve SAFFI Fire, you must constantly boost for a long while (boosting around and around works for this). Basically, if you are a beginner, you should boost for at least 2 minutes. Boost over 3 minutes just to be safe. With enough practice, you can get it under 1 minute. You will know that you have SAFFI Fire when your exhaust turns completely white and you only hear the kart going at almost top speed. Once you possess SAFFI Fire, you will always be at almost top speed. Once you go over a super turbo pad, you will have "Ultimate SAFFI Fire". This is where you have higher than top speed forever and can achieve very fast times and laps. It is quite hard to maintain and is not recommended for beginners. When turning, try to jump and slide rather than Powerslide. It helps when turning around corners. Please note that boosting while having SAFFI Fire is not recommended. If you boost a little too much, then you will lose the SAFFI Fire.

If you're good enough, it's possible to achieve SAFFI Fire during a race, depending on the track. There are some tracks where SAFFI Fire helps, others where it doesn't.

Spell out words (by Ripperroo123): All of the cheats spell out words. The Circle equals an O, the Triangle equals an A, X equals X, Up equals U or N (for North), Down equals D or S (South), Left equals L or W (West), and Right equals R or E (East). Those words are listed below at the end of each code.

Glitches

5 / 7 laps in Cups (by Ntropydude): Go to Arcade and pick single. Choose your character and the track you wish to drive in. Highlight either the 5 or the 7 laps option (but don't press X). Backtrack to the Single/Cup screen by pressing Triangle and choose Cup. After that, each track on the cup you choose will have either 5 or 7 laps, depending on which option you highlighted before.

Infinite Missiles (by TimoteiLOL): First you'll need to activate a cheat mode that gives you an infinite amount of any kind of item (the cheat modes are listed at the bottom). Then just run into a red beaker so that your current weapon/item will change. If it changes into the 3-Missiles, you'll get an infinite supply of them (until you run into another red beaker). If it doesn't change into that weapon, just pick up a Crate afterwards and hope it does.

No Language Funnies (by Peter Wakeman and ConceptWindow): This only works in the PAL version. When prompted to select a language before the title screen, you can press Triangle to cancel it, leaving you with nothing but blank spaces and hyphens where words would normally be. The glitch gets really interesting in Adventure Mode, because most bosses strangely swap their heads and dialogues with each others. You can get such atrocities as Papu Papu with Pinstripe's head, Komodo Joe with Oxide's and Oxide with Papu Papu's (Ripper Roo, on the other hand, remains untouched). Another difference is that Aku Aku/Uka Uka will be silent.

The game seems to change to the Japanese language when you do this (the only problem is that neither the voice lines nor the Japanese font are there, and that's why it doesn't work). The reason it seems to do this is because the CTR challenges in adventure mode will say "CBR" along with some missing characters. CBR stands for Crash Bandicoot Racing, which is the name of the Japanese version (NTSC-J). As you've probably guessed, it uses the letters CBR instead of CTR in that game. This further supports the theory that the Japanese version was built off of the PAL one, also evidenced by the fact that it retains all the improvements from it.

Note: All the unlockable characters will be available in all modes except story mode.

Komodo Joe: Win the Blue Gem Cup -or- at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Down, Circle, Left, Left, Triangle, Right, Down (DOLLARS).
Papu Papu: Win the Green Gem Cup -or- at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Left, Triangle, Right, Down, Right, Circle, Left, Left, Down (LARDROLLS).
Ripper Roo: Win the Red Gem Cup -or- at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Right, Circle, Circle, Down, Up, Down, Right (ROODUDE).
Pinstripe: Win the Yellow Gem Cup -or- at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Left, Right, Triangle, Down, Right, Down (LEASED).
Fake Crash (cheat found by Hacc): Win the Purple Gem Cup -or- at the main menu, hold L1 + R1 and press Circle, Down, Down, Up, Circle, Circle, Down, Left, Right (ODDNOODLE).
N. Tropy: Beat all the N. Tropy ghosts in Time Trial mode -or- at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Right, Right (SLENDER).
Penta Penguin: At the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Down, Right, Triangle, Down, Left, Triangle, Up (SEASWAN).

Tracks and Battle Arenas

Turbo Track: Unlock Turbo Track in Adventure Mode.
Parking Lot: Win all 4 cups in Arcade mode (Easy).
North Bowl: Win all 4 cups in Arcade mode (Medium).
Lab Basement: Win all 4 cups in Arcade mode (Hard).

Cheat to unlock all of the above: At the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Right, Right, Left, Triangle, Right, Down, Down (REWARDS).

Extras

Epilogue: Beat the game with 100%.
101%: Get all Gold Relics in Adventure Mode. The epilogue will then feature confetti.
Scrapbook: Beat the game with at least 100% and wait for the epilogue to end. To unlock it at the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Up, Up, Down, Right, Right, Left, Right, Triangle, Right (UNDERWEAR).
Spyro 2 TM Demo: At the main menu, hold L1+R1 and press Down, Circle, Triangle, Right (SOAR).

Cheat Modes

Note: Introduce these in the main menu. To make these work in Adventure Mode, choose that mode and insert them when the game asks if you want to commence a new game or load an old one (they will work in any race modes inside the Adventure, including Relic Races). In Time Trial Mode, the only working cheats are the Super Turbo Pads and the Invisibility. To undo a cheat, press the respective sequence again.

Infinite Aku Aku/Uka Uka: Hold L1 + R1 and press Left, Triangle, Right, Left, Circle, Right, Down, Down (WARLORDS).
Infinite Wumpa fruit (permanently juiced up): Hold L1 + R1 and press Down, Right, Right, Down, Down (SEEDS).
Infinite Bowling Bombs: Hold L1 + R1 and press Triangle, Right, Down, Right, Up, Triangle, Left (ARSENAL).
Super Turbo Pads: Hold L1 + R1 and press Triangle, Right, Right, Circle, Left (ARROW).
Display Boost Counter: Hold L1 + R1 and press Triangle, Down, Down, Circle, Up (ADDON).
